10:00am [10:00am-2:00pm] Cleveland Free Flight Society
Description:
What are free flight airplanes? How can they stay up in the air without a motor? Though not technically a “class”, the Cleveland Free Flight Society will be meeting every Saturday morning in February, March and April to work on projects. Anyone interested in learning more about this method of flight and building is encouraged to stop by. The “incredible lightness of being” can aptly express the joys of free flight, their delicateness, their tenacity for staying in the air and the beauty of their design. Currently, the group is working on restoring a free flight airplane made sometime in the late 1930’s/early 1940’s. The meetings are open to any interested modelers.

[12:00pm-4:00pm] DIV. 4/PARMA HOBBY TRAIN SHOW
Description:
Frog, I am pleased to announce the first ever train show to be held at Parma Hobby and presented by Division 4 of the N.M.R.A. (National Model Railroaders Association).

Saturday, February 27th, Division 4 of the N.M.R.A. will be at Parma Hobby for a special presentation featuring HO train modules. From Noon until 4:00 p.m., come and watch HO train set ups and talk to the members of Division 4. Learn more about model railroading and the fun you can have with trains.

Douglas Steiskal will have his amazing logging switch-back module set up and running – 12 feet of logging trains!

Scott Benson, Al Seman, and other members of Division 4 will have their modules set up and running, too.

Come and enjoy model railroading and talk with the people who built and operate these terrific traveling layouts.

In addition, there will be door prizes, demonstrations on scenery, painting and other activities. We will have sign-up sheets for the 2010 Winter How-To Classes to be offered at Parma Hobby starting March 3rd.
