He is going to concentrate on painting, assembling and general building skills needed to build a first rate model. This will be a four-session clinic and will cover a lot of ground. Students are encouraged to bring in a kit they are working on (or want to start) and Chuck will be able to address your specific needs and questions. The skills from this class are applicable to cars, planes or any armor model. Learn the best techniques for building, painting and detailing models to turn your model into a showpiece.
Class will be 4 sessions
Fee: $17.50 for all 4 sessions

[10:00am-2:00pm] Cleveland Free Flight Society
Description:
What are free flight airplanes? How can they stay up in the air without a motor? Though not technically a “class”, the Cleveland Free Flight Society will be meeting every Saturday morning in February, March and April to work on projects. Anyone interested in learning more about this method of flight and building is encouraged to stop by. The “incredible lightness of being” can aptly express the joys of free flight, their delicateness, their tenacity for staying in the air and the beauty of their design. Currently, the group is working on restoring a free flight airplane made sometime in the late 1930’s/early 1940’s. The meetings are open to any interested modelers.

[2:00pm-4:00pm] Weathering Techniques for Models

Janet Hein will demonstrate the many techniques for weathering your car, sci-fi or armour models. She will demonstrate airbrushing techniques, dry brushing techniques, rust streaking, wash techniques and chalk weathering. She will show you how to use powders, paste, paint, markers, sponges and even other articles you find around your house to create the looks you want. She will show you how to make light or heavyweight weathering on your models.
