He is going to concentrate on painting, assembling and general building skills needed to build a first rate model. This will be a four-session clinic and will cover a lot of ground. Students are encouraged to bring in a kit they are working on (or want to start) and Chuck will be able to address your specific needs and questions. Basic wiring layout information for DC trains (HO, N and G). Learn how the operation and control of your layout is based on electrical circuits and how to control the speed and direction of your trains. Become familiar with such terms as insulated joiner, common lead and control rail. Learn how to use Bachmann’s EZ track as well as Atlas track and how to power up accessories without blowing a fuse.

Janet Hein will demonstrate the many techniques for weathering your car, sci-fi or armour models. She will demonstrate airbrushing techniques, dry brushing techniques, rust streaking, wash techniques and chalk weathering. She will show you how to use powders, paste, paint, markers, sponges and even other articles you find around your house to create the looks you want. She will show you how to make light or heavyweight weathering on your models.
