Milton's Tips

Milton D. Frog

Milton says, "New pilots should check with their flight instructor before purchasing any aircraft!  The instructor may have a preferred training aircraft."

Almost Ready to Fly Airplanes (ARF)

Get into the Air Fast

Almost Ready to Fly (ARF) airplanes are designed to get you into the air fast.  Unlike kit aircraft, most of the work is already done for you, right down to the sheeting and/or covering material.  With ARF aircraft, there is minimal assembly, but you still have the flexibility to pick your favorite radio, flight equipment and engine within the manufacturers recommended limits.  Most ARF type airplanes can be assembled in just a few evenings.

New materials and building techniques have given way to a large array of ARF aircraft to choose from.  Whether you are about to take your first flight or you are a well seasoned pilot, there is and ARF just for you.

New pilots should check with their instructor before purchasing a trainer class aircraft.  Some instructor may have a preferred aircraft to train budding pilots with.
