PAYMENT, SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY
If electing to use our shopping cart the following will apply with
regards to payment types accepted; applicable taxes; shipping destinations and
methods; special handling of restricted materials; purchase guidelines; damaged
items; missing items; warranties, responsibilities, and pricing changes.
PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED
PARMA HOBBY Online accepts PayPal, and Discover,
Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. When using your
credit card, please provide your credit card billing address if different from
the shipping address and daytime/nighttime phone numbers. If the billing
address or the security code does not match that which is on file at the
financial institution, if authorization is not given for any reason, or if the
issuing bank cannot support verification efforts, we reserve the right to cancel
the order without notification. We do not assume any responsibility for
bank fees incurred as a result of using a Debit Card for your purchases.
When ordering with your credit card, please have your credit card security code
available. This code allows us to further verify your card. Credit
card orders without a valid security code will not be accepted.
PARMA HOBBY also accepts payment in the form
of personal checks and money orders specifically written out to PARMA HOBBY.
No third party checks or money orders are accepted. Upon receipt of your check
or money order, the order will begin processing for shipment. Shipment will be
released once the check or money order has cleared. Generally, this takes 7 to
10 days from our receipt of the payment. You will be notified by e-mail when
your shipment is released. Please be sure to include your e-mail address when
paying via this method.

APPLICABLE SALES TAX
You will not be charged sales tax if you order is shipped outside Ohio.
SHIPPING INFORMATION
Shipping Charges
Shipping rates are calculated based on the
weight and destination of your order. You can see your shipping charge
during the order process BEFORE you place your order. You can also utilize
the "back" button to change the shipping method (i.e.; Overnight service instead
of Ground service) and recalculate the cost.

The shipping method you choose takes effect AFTER the
"Availability" period listed next to each item. For example, if
the item's availability shows "Usually leaves our store in 1-2 normal
weekday business days" and you choose "Next Day Air", your order will ship
via Next Day Air after the availability period, in this example, 1-2
business days. |
Hazardous and Flammable Items
Please note that some size and item restrictions apply to Air shipments.
Hazardous and flammable items cannot be shipped via air. Air packages over 10
pounds will be charged extra. Two-Day and One-Day Air delivery available
only in the U.S. For delivery to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico there will be an
additional fee for Air shipments. We must receive your order before 2:00
p.m. Monday- Friday.
PARMA HOBBY'S Shipping Area
PARMA HOBBY currently ships within the
continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
Restricted Materials
Special note for any order that contains rocket
engines, rocket starter sets, R/C fuel and certain paints and paint sets:
Rocket engines and rocket starter sets will be shipped via USPS Parcel Post,
which is usually 10-14 business days. R/C fuel and certain paints and
paint sets will be shipped via UPS Ground, which is usually 5-7 business days.
Therefore, PARMA HOBBY offers two (2) options for shipping when rocket engines and
certain paints are part of an order:
1. The entire order can be shipped via
U.S. Postal Service-Parcel Post or,
2. The engines can be removed from the
order and shipped via U.S. Postal Service-Parcel Post while the rest of the
order is shipped via your choice of expedited delivery service. You will
be charged for both shipping charges (ground and expedited). If you would
like to make special arrangements, you must contact us prior to placing the
order.
PURCHASE GUIDELINES
Considerations
Electrical/electronic items, including but not
limited to, radio systems, motors, train engines, power packs, transformers
and train accessories, are not returnable. Items will be checked prior to
shipping to ensure completeness of package and that product is in working order.
Manufacturers' items are considered "Under
Warranty" once they are sold and leave the store. These items must be
returned directly to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. It is our
recommendation that the customer forward the item to the manufacturer in
accordance with the item's warranty statement.
Damages Items
Damaged merchandise includes items that have
been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with
apparent shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have already
accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, please e-mail our Sales
Department immediately. Save all packaging material and paperwork; do not
throw anything away! If you attempt to return the merchandise yourself,
you will jeopardize your chances of making a claim.
Missing Parts
The manufacturer resolves any missing parts
problems. Please contact us regarding a missing part and we will
notify the manufacturer of the shortage and they will then either send the part
to you, or in some instances, authorize us to supply the missing part if
available.
MTH Electric Trains
PARMA HOBBY is an "Authorized Service Center"
for MTH Electric Trains and offers "Warranty Repair Service" for their
products sold through our store. The customer must obtain a Return
Authorization Number prior to returning any "Warranty" items to our store.
Returned items must be sent freight prepaid.
PARMA HOBBY offers "Out of Warranty" repair
service for any MTH Electric Trains product purchased anywhere. Call
or e-mail for a Return Authorization Number prior to sending any
item for repair (freight prepaid).

We accept no responsibility for crash damage
and/or loss of kits, engines, accessories, etc. incurred during operation of a
radio-controlled model. Also, we cannot be held responsible for any
purchased components that are incorporated into radio systems or problems caused
by incompatibility between radio components, parts, and repairs made by the
buyer.
All of the products we sell are intended for
retail consumption by our customers and are not intended for resale.
Any consequences arising out of the resale of merchandise purchased from PARMA
HOBBY is the responsibility of the seller, not PARMA HOBBY. Please note
that most items we offer are intended for use in the USA. International
radio frequency and electric current requirements are the responsibility of the
buyer.
PRICE AND/OR DESCRIPTION CHANGES
All prices, pictures and descriptions on this
site are subject to change. PARMA HOBBY maintains no responsibility
for inadvertent errors. In the event of typographical errors on our site
PARMA HOBBY reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders at its sole
